degree keys

Default degree keys

Ok I there is talk about the degree keys on here and I was just woundering...what are they and what do they do??

you pull your flywheel off and replace the flywheel key with an offset key---this advances (or retards) your timing depending on how the key is installed--advanced timing always gives you a little more umph up top. In laymans terms, you fire your sparkplug a little sooner. EZ install other than you gotta remove your flywheel with a special puller

...and then also would you need to run high octane fuel?

sorry guys--i put one in my 360, and it runs best on regular---seems to hesitate on high test---course it only got about 8:1 compression
