You will all be very dissapointed when you find out the two new "Kawasaki" machines are spin offs of the new King Quad 700 IRS and the Vinson 500 (not a V-Twin). My source tells me that the "alliance" is far from over. In fact in May Kawie announced that Suzuki will be getting a version of the Mule. Last year Kaw gave Suzuki the 700 Prairie and the new 250 4-stroke DirtBike. I believe this theory for the simple fact that by most magazine accounts the 700 Prairie is still the king of or near the top of the 4x4 ATV world. He did say to expect styling changes on up and coming "shared" models.

I won't be disapointed. Some of what you said is not true.

Kawi is building the Brute force.
Suzi is not sharing the King with Kawi.

Kawi will share the mule. Everyone knows that. Kawi is selling the prairie cheap enough to compete against the Vinson, so there probably isn't going to be a Vinson with a kawi sticker.

Kawasaki's "BIG" thing this year to announce is the Brute. The best v-twin IRS machine ever. Better than griz, rinc, splatsman, AC etc.

Think about it, if all they had to announce was that they were making the prairie a 650 again and were sharing a "one lunger" irs with suzi how let down would we all feel? I would be pissed. Also, they wouldn't make such a "fuss" just to announce a suzuki model and a reduced Prairie. That is not a very astute guess, my friend.

I have friends with inside sources. I accidentally deleted the email so I can't show you, but these sources are a whole lot more reliable than some of you guys that are guessing without a real clue.

Besides, other people have found out that the Brute is really a v-twin IRS made in nebraska (kawi plant) from dealers and Kawi reps. How stupid is it to say it will be a rebadged suzuki given all the evidence?

If I am wrong I will issue an apology in writing. I hate it when I have to eat my words. However, I would be almost upset enough to sell my kawi and switch brands if Kawi does what you said.

NYROC, I hope your sources are better than mine. And I won't argue that you could be right. I was told that Kawasaki won't drop to a 650, but rather will offer the current 700 Prairie as well as a 700 I.R.S (Suzuki) quad. It has been posted on this very forum that many people wanted to see Kawasaki offer both a I.R.S and Solid axle quad. This would give them that option. The thing I don't understand about the whole "rumor" is why would they go back to a 650? They could have the baddest solid axle quad as well as the baddest I.R.S quad and make less changes than going back to a 650. That is the main thing that bothered me about the whole rumor is why in the heck would they go backwards on the current Prairie? Oh yeah, he also said that the name "BruteForce" was being tossed around as a replacement for V-Force as well as the new I.R.S machine. For what it is worth if you search back a few years and find the post about the new kawie sport quad that had the spy photo, You will see my post that stated it would be a V-Twin automatic(my buddy told me that) the guy who took the picture was insulted because he "heard them shifting gears". The quad as we know it is a V-Force 700. Like I said earlier, I hope you're right.
