The counter shaft uses standard threading, so turn the nut to the left to loosen. Be sure to flatten the keeper washer first.

Thanks a lot Sprocket, I was beginning to think no one saw my question within "What mods do you have on your Mojave" thread. Thanks and I appreciate it, I was turning it to the left but it won't budge so before I put my back into I want to make sure it is going in the right direction. So I won't tear up my countershaft. But thanks again.

I kind of thought your question might get lost as it was buried pretty far in the thread. I had a heck of a time getting that nut off of my bike too. But it will break loose, you just have to slowly apply pressure to it. The shaft is made of hardened steel, so the nut will (should?) give before the shaft will. Put it in neutral and block the gear, that way you won't be putting pressure on anything else in the transmission. Good luck!
