Default 650 flat cams

Has anyone else had flat cams in their 650 Prairie? We have been using Valvoline Durablend 5w-30 changed every 50 hours. This atv only has 1500 miles and 230 hours and I am surprised to have this trouble. Is it the oil or the engine?

Thanks for the help!

What do you mean by flat cams? Are the lobes wore down? If so, I haven't heard of this problem. Also, what were the symptoms of this problem?

Happy trails...

I have yet to hear of cam wear issues that didn't involve oil contamination... 50 hours should be fine, unless water is getting into your oil, during mudding, etc., or your oil is becoming contaminated with gas, from leaking back, from not shutting off the petcock, or dirt is allowed in around or through your air filter... ( although, usually dirty air, results in scored cylinder walls, etc... )
