Pro Circiuts and Jetting
#1
Ok, I have researched all the pipes for my 700 V Force and am set on the Pro Circuit Duals. I love the look and finish. My question is, even though I am only going to be trail riding and no racing, do I definatly have to rejet the carbs? I am so scared I will screw something up by digging in to them. I mostly want the pipes (even though expensive) for sound, better breathing, and maybe slight increase in HP. I hear jetting the carbs are not hard according to companies that make jet kits. Is this true?, could someone let me know basically whats involved and how hard it is to jet the carbs, and what brand and how much they cost? Thanks for the response!!!

Weekend warrior, you may not have to rejet. When you get the pipes they should give you a reccomendation for jetting. I have the Yoshi duals and they do not reccomend rejetting, although i have but went back to stock jetting. If you have to rejet don't worry, it is not hard to do on the V Force. Do a search on here for Kevin M's website. He has detailed instructions for jetting the V......

Here is the link to Kevin's site Kevin's Site When I bought my Pro Circuit's I gave the company (Pro Circuit) a call and told them what altitude I was riding at and mods I had and they reccommended I stay with my stock jetting. I t seems to run great and my plugs are chocolate brown, so they must know what they're talking about Give them a call. Good luck.
