Default 400EX vs. KFX400

Which one is better for Harescrambles and trail riding? I like the look of the Honda, but the Kawasaki's engine is supposed to be more powerful. Which one would you buy, please don't be brand loyal!

The KFX400 has reverse. It's supposed to be better on the trails, but the 400ex is a strong machine. There are so many shootouts on the internet and in the mags. You might want to check them out. Do a search. You'll find a lot of info.

OK, I am a Kawasaki guy at heart, but I like all brands. The KFX400 is really a Suzuki, anyways. If it was me and I was going to do the riding you are, I would choose the KFX. The KFX does make more power, and it handles almost exactly like a 400EX, but it has reverse and liquid cooling. I don't need to explain the importance of reverse, and the liquid cooling helps to keep the temps consistant when the going gets slow. My suggestion would be to try to ride one of each (back-to-back if possible). It will help you to make a final decision. Good luck.
