Brute Force

I'm thinking about buying a new Kawi 750 Brute force and i was wondering what everyones opinion is on the varible locking diff. that it and the prairies use? Are they reliable? Do they work well? What does everyone think will it smoke a grizzly through the mud?

I had a 02 Grizzly that I traded in for my Prairie. I think the Prairie does better through the mud just because of the extra power it has to turn my Outlaw tires. Stock for stock, the Grizzly might be better just because it had more ground clearance. I have ridden my Prairie hard for over 1000 miles through water and sand and the only thing that has let me down is the belt. I'm on my third one. I am sure this is partly due to the heavy tires and the fact that it gets wet once in a while (my belt snorkel had a hole in it). I sure do miss the soft ride that Grizz had though. I'm in the same boat as you in considering the Brute. Most of my riding is done through mud and water so if I sell my V, I'm seriously considering the new Brute Force.

Wild 1,
The locking diff. is the number one in my books, I LOVE it. You can lock it anytime you feel threatened, like and emergency lever. The Cat and others you have to be stopped, you know what that would be like when in the process of getting stuck. The Kawi's also can be let go and soon as you don't need it or let half way out so as to be able to steer when climbing over rocks or steep hills but still grabbing with both wheels.
I love the lock and would have no other, it's that good.

Ihave to say that the Prairie Locking system is awesome but you need to do good maintenance, Make sure you clean it good free of debris mud sand snow etc... like every other quad is guess but mine got stucklock and need to replace the front drive train. But due to the 5 years warranty that Kawy offers didn't cost a thing....
