Hey,

With a Mojave like that...you should have no problem out running a STOCK 400ex.....def.
almost with the gearing alone...
Ya you should be able to take him in any kind of drag..
But my advice would be to make sure its a LONG race...and i would run 22inch tires...if you beat him...it will be in a long run, he might still be able to holeshot on you
Im 100% posative you can crush a stock EX, maybe even a piped

Tell ya the truth, he may just be right

Now that I do think about it, You will have a very fast mojave, ranging from high 60's to low 70'smph....My Lakota, with only airbox, air intake, and gearing modifications....not to mention weight reduction....I recently got clocked in at 62mph....so your mojave should be pretty far above that.
Your best bet is to just run it....but you most likely will be in the 70's

hey thanks for all your help. its a weisco ordered it from kawasaki. I raced my buddies 400es that is piped filterd jetted and ported bottom end he had me but top speed i had him by prob 6 or 7 mph. he has gps hooked up to his and he was running 66 so i say i was runnin bout 72 or 73. the only this with the high comp. pistion is that it is pretty HARD to kick start you would get used to it but it is a pain in the a$$ at first!! if you get the piston and and cams GET THE KLR 250 BLACK box cause it will rev to the moon make sure u have stainless steel valves thou dont want any free revving, and get a stronger timing chain cause the factory one will break i made that mistake lol. Thanks again to everyone.

Where do you find a stronger timing chain?
Everything I've heard is that the factory one is strong enough and that you can't find an aftermarket chain anyway.

Well we took the timing chain off of the klr 250 and took ummmm cant remember how many links but took some links out cause it was too long. IDK but my factory one broke and ruined the cams thats why i put the 380s in it.
