I installed the Trailtech X bars with the Billet clamp and it raised the bars quite a bit. When I would turn right, the choke would bind and kill the engine. What I had to do was bend the little "wire holder" so that it would let the cables move without binding. It is a small piece of black steel that keeps all the wires together right under the black hood. I just beat mine with a hammer until I could turn lock to lock without binding. I also cut some of the factory cable ties and used some strong tie wraps to retie them in a different spot. IF you go this route, you can get whatever handlebars you want and not worry about the cables.

Good luck.

I have tag 2 bars with the CR high bend they work good..you will have to drill hole for shifter and trim a little here and there but they work good and feel great...I also have the billet handle bar clamp from trailtech with speedo very nice setup IMO....
