Hello i am new to the forums.

I was wondering how i could make me kfx faster than my cousins yfz. I think he only has a mod done to the cam and the air box lid off. He is going to be getting a pipe and i dont want to get killed when we go racing. He already has elka shocks. What can i do to keep up?

The only way your stock KFX will keep up with that YFZ is if he goes half throttle!

You will need a considerable amount of motor work to even be in that league!! But if you ride trails and such if you are a better rider you may be able to keep up.

I use to be able to keep up in the trails until he bought his shocks. How much would a 450 kit cost?

Around $2000. Then another $2000 in suspension mods, that's elkas front and rear, a-arms and axle. So for around $9600 you can have a kfx that'll spank a $9000 yfz. But, you'll have $600 worth of reverse.

Its pretty bad now.He beats me by 3 bikes when he doesn't get good traction. Whenever he does he kills me. And he orderd a pipe for it like 2 days ago. How bad will he be beating me now?

Where can i order a 450 kit or should i sell and go buy a yfz?

I keep up with the yfz-450's though i do get beat most of the time, Its alot about the driver. I just got the NOS and am waiting for this selinoid to come in and after that i should smoke em real nice! But you can wait for the suzuki 450 to come out. Yamaha says there going up the cc on the yfz-450 to a true 450. They dont have a date exaclty but will probably release it when suzuki comes out with the z-450.

kawa400, by the time you sell your kfx, and by a yfz, you'll have lost more money than if you spend the $$$ for a duncan 435 kit, and some used a-arms and shocks. If you got the cash, mod your kfx.
