Default ?4 clover

clover,
you said that you have changed a lakota clutch before. mine is shot and i dont know how to get into the clutch to change it. what do i take off, and is it hard to change?

well tmaxx its pretty simple to do with all the right tools,but for your first time your going to need a service manual and if you don't have one i'll see if i can find one on the internet.

are there any other types of tools will i need besides an impact wrench and basic tools? also, to get to the clutch (im not sure) but will i need to remove the cover that has the oil sight glass on it?
oh ya, i dont have a service manual.

yeah its pretty much basic tools,and tell you the truth i forget which side the oil level is on,but anyways the clutch is on the right side next to the rear brake.I'll try either tonight or in the morning and try to find a service manual.

yes it is on the right side. make sure you drain the oil first

hey tmaxx i searched for around an hour and i couldn't find one online,they were all for sale.So man if you need to know anything let me know,and like newduck said drain the oil.

i finally found one on ebay for a 95-99 lakota. mine is a 00, but arent they all the same(95-00)

oh ya, to get into the clutch do i take off the entire cover on the right side(the one with 10 or 12 bolts)?
And should i expect anything to fall out?

thats what we have is a 95-99 model,there all the same.And yeah the clutch cover is the one with 10 or 12 bolts,also you need to order you, from a local dealer a gasket for the clutch cover.

Hey by the way what kind of clutch kit are you going with?Because i highly recommend the k&g clutch kit,its a whole lot stronger than stock.
