Default What's the straight story on the rear storage box for the BF750??

I'm wondering about the round storage container that fits opposite the muffler on the back of the BF750.
Some folks are saying that it is an option, some are saying they are supposed to come with it but their dealer forgot it, others say it came on theres.
Anyone know the official word from Kawasaki??

I don't know the official word but I can tell you my Brute did not come with one and my dealer didn't know anything about it. A couple other guys on highlifter didn't get one on their Brutes either.

I didn't get one either. Dealer said it was an option and would be availlable shortly.

it is an addon. Seems a 4" PVC pipe with a screw on clean out extension on one side would do about the same.

That's not a bad idea if one could make it water tight. Mine will be submerged most of the time. I probably won't even get the OEM container just because I would never use it. I still agree that it should have come with it if the Kawi website shows it on there.

Yeah, I thought of that too (water tight). Teflon tape should keep the water out and make it easy to unscrew. But you would want to keep the tape in the tube cause unscrewing it would probably mess up the seal. The PVC is very strong too. I use the 4" with the clean out attachment for a potato cannon
