Well, in reality, it IS the biggest motor out there
Yea it is the biggest , but the 11 cc advantage is not even close to being able to overcome the 140 lbs of extra fat, and $8500 , thats insane.

ok so its efi...who cares?? I mean sure efi is great, but is it easily mapped? dont get me wrong but would you rather bring it into the dealer so they can change it so it runs at peek performance or would you rather do it yourself by regetting and spending half of what you would at a dealer?

It would be nice if the aftermarket could make a handheld programer (like a hypertech programer) so that you could do just that. I bet there is more power to be had with a few tweeks in the EFI. Hopefully once more manufactures start to release more EFI quads (which they will), then the aftermarket will get onboard

Should be a nice bike....

Been down the EFI route with Polaris snowmobiles, unless someone steps up and makes a chip, stock is the best you'll get.

Us kawa guy know what's it's like waiting for a box to be made.

Big bad, I though you lived in Mich.

Dynojet makes a Power Commander for the 700 EFI. So, I imagine it will work for the 800 or they will make one specifically for it.

Good one scoobybri.
I think that if they can round up the CCs, they should also round up the weight to 800 lbs.

Yamaha will be releasing two new machines later this year. Both will be V-twins with EFI, one will be a utility with IRS and the second will similar to Kaw's V-Force.

Both EFI? Both V-twins? Hmm. Intersting. I haven't been overly impressed with yamaha durability in the past. But I will still want to see them.

Do you think the v-twin will be multi valve OHC like the kawi? Why don't any of the other forums talk about this. I gave them a quick look and found nothing.
