mixture screws

Default mixture screws

does anybody know where the mixture screws are on the kfx 700?

On the bottom of the carbs.

Right side of carbs. On the bottom edge of the float bowls. Brass screw....

Default mixture screws

are they sticking out or are they screwed in? i just bought a fmf jet kit, and i got the needles in there but i dont know what the mixture screws look like.

They are recessed in the bottom center of the carbs. They are slotted for a regular screw driver.

the screws i need to change are pretty small. and do i have to take the carb off like they show on the 700v.com site

what do people mean by re-jetting to 120f, and 124r and stuff like that. what does that mean, and will i have to do it since i have a jet kit on it?

The 120f 124r designates which size jet goes in which carb. f = front. r = rear. The larger the # of jet, the more fuel it can flow at wide open throttle. Which is typically what you need when you do an exhaust or intake mods. The jets - usually along with different needles... and sometimes small shims... is what makes up a jet kit.

so am i going to have to re-jet? the only mod i have is the fmf jet kit.
