I saw on your website that you had been riding in The Breaks, VA. I live Between there and Bluefield, WV and we have some pretty good riding up this way. Have you ever been to The Wagon Wheel in Herndon, WV? We ride in a place called Westfork most of the time, we grew up riding in this area and are sortof partial to it, (better than Hatfield and for free). We will try to get together if you want and ride. Just let me know and even if I can't get away from work I can arrange to have a ride put together.

I don't mind the drive to bluefield, but all those hills on the way to breaks are tough on my Ford F20.

I would like to ride. I can get days off easier if they aren't near a holiday. I can ride saturdays.

Hey Nyroc, did you need to adujust the toe-in on your 650 with the badlands tires, or was that already done when put them on?

When i removed my stockers and got 28" mudzillas, I noticed steering jerk I set the toe to Zero (0) and never had to fuss with the toe since. I have had 26" mudrunners and badlands since I sold the heavy zillas.

nyroc, on the first trip you made to the Breaks, you passed through Richlands. The way from my Dad and Moms house bypasses Richlands.

I think I liked the bluefield way better. I like just getting on the highway and hitting 75mph. The hills on that big A moutain were a lttle tough on the Ford F20. One thing, the F20 can out corner just about any pickup. So, even though people kept coming up behind me on the way back, when I hit the twisty section I lost them because I could take corners faster.

It is a Ford Focus, heavy duty, with powerstroke 2.0 S.I. (spark ignition). I call it an F20 because it can tow about 1/8 the load of an F150.

My 650 is rated for more towing than the Focus, but the 650 can't tow a quad on my trailer down the highway at 85mph like the focus.

My employment will have to get a lot better than it is now before I upgrade to an F250 Powerstroke. At least I can afford to ride now.

Flea, I am originally from Grundy. I moved to Mooresville, NC back in Sept of 1990. I now live in Stony Point NC a little town between Statesville and Hickory. Im an only child but my wife has 4 bros and 5 sisters all but one sister live back in Breaks or area. My wife is from the Breaks community. I get every other weekend off, which consist of Friday, Saturday and Sunday. At least once a month we go back to ride. I usually try to leave on Thursday evening and go to my parents house in Abington, "2 hr 15 min" then early Friday we get up and drive on to the Breaks, 1hr 45min.

If you are up for some great riding let me know. I can meet you in Richlands somewhere. I normally cut across at Rosedale and go through Honaker towards Haysi that way but if you ever wanted to ride with us I can go toward Claypool hill and come through Richlands. Just send me a pm or email.
