I just went through this a week ago, I was able to readjust my idle air mixture screw enough to get the low end decent, but I had to keep increasing my main jet size all the way to 142.5 with a clamp-on and cobra exhaust to keep my plug from turning white. Alot of people are running around a 138 main with a pipe/filter, but mine kept running lean. It's not that bad to do once you start, I was all worried about it but it's actually pretty easy. I just ripped off my plastic, unscrewed the clamp holding the carb to the intake and tilted it over and did the jetting with all the cables attached right on the bike.
