Brute force problems only 2hrs
#1
Ihad bought a brute force the other day, coming from a 700 prarie, which was a great machine, i took my brute out on the trails, and smoke started pouring out the exhaust with a burnt oil smell. rings??? Not sure yet. The underneath is wide open picking up all tree limbs wedging them in my suspension. We ride hard, And the brute I found out has more power than needed. More power than needed? I usually wouldn't say that but it over steers it self pretty bad. The front end is so light, maybe skid plates, winch etc.. would help for weight? I have to call the dealer tomorrow and find out what he will do. I don't want a quad with 2 hrs on it having the motor messed with I just payed cash for it and don't think thats right..... Do you?

well, when i broke in myp650 the dealer warned me that it would smoke alot at first as the oil from production that gets put on the pipes and all for shipping burnes off..is it possible thats the case here as well?

I too have the same complaints. First, I cannot get the front end to pop off the ground on solid traction, its not that I want to pop wheelies but so I can get the back to slide around tight turns in loose dirt to make up for the over sterring. On the same note, when I climb small hills, the front end seems to lift off the ground as if most of the weight is on the rear of the quad. It makes me feel un-easy when that happens.
Please let me know what you do with yours or what the delaer says. I too have inquired to my dealer but haven't heard anything yet.
Thanks,
Steve
