Skat Trak is the company that built the chain drive setup to race in the desert. As far as I know, they will offer this to the public for $5000. I believe Mickey Dunlap is having one installed on his 95 hp V that he is building.

It should do more than 85. I got up to 76.4 mph (gps) on a dry lake bed.

I donno....its just someone i know, if that doesent sound realisitic then they are prolly full of it! I will take your word for it! 2Grand seemed about right, and i have heard that you get back the lost HP and speed that the Shaft Drive takes away???? That seems true also!
I know SkatTrak had a kit but it wasnt available to the public.....

If that kit is going to be available now, then why do a chain drive???? For the 5grand u can do a turbo like someone stated......depending on reliability i would think that, that would be the way to go due to keeping your ground clearance that the shaft drive offers
(if chain drive would affect this) and the reliability of the shaft drive, you wouldnt have to be concerned about a chain!
