using dyna with dg3 still hooked up?

Don't know if it would hurt anything but it surely couldn't help. The module would be trying to tell the CDI that it is OK to step up the timing (from a retarded state) even though the CDI doesn't retard down low. Best bet would be to probably sell the DG3.
Let us know what you think of the difference between the two.

I would think that the Dyna would completely ignore the DG, being that the Dyna doesn't use the speed sensor for timing that the stock box does. Thats what your DG is wired too, the speed sensor. It's telling the stock box that the quad is going faster than it really is, thus advancing the timing. The Dyna will ignore it.

I plugged the dyna cdi in today and left dg3 hooked up. I did not want to clip wires again they are getting short.
It works fine, dyna runs at 330 are at previous speeds. (56 57) mph.
Dg3 light is still blinking so it should also still be working if I plugged stock cdi back in.

No I gained 1 mph on top speed. I have to get up on highway to test so only did it once.

As long as the cdi isn't an issue with gas, you could take the dg3 off. I have been pondering on ordering the cdi, sounds like up to 2mph on 330' and only 1mph gain. I thought there would be more gains in top end. Minimus what top speed can you get? I am only up to 62 on speedo. with stock tires. Now I am wondering if the dyno is worth it, I think it will work on the bf which i would have to have if I bought one. TRying to decide to mod this one or get the bf.
