Default intelligent friends.....

The other day a friend came over so we could ride, well i checked my oil before the ride and had to run in the house for a second, thinking my friend could handle the oil cap i aksed him to screw it on for me. I cam out didnt check it and then we went to ride. I went through my pond which is deep almost to the muffler, and some mud and alot of dust. While standing on the side watching him ride and mess around i heard a "boom" then big puff of smoke came out from around the engine and then some puffs out of the exhaust and the Praire stalled. I couldnt figure out what happened so i let it sit for a minute then i started it back up again more puffs from the exhaust but stopped 30seconds later. I was looking around the oil area and say that the cap was in ****-eyed and wasnt seeled to keep out the elements. the praire runs fine now nothing is different, but does anyone know what happened?

thanks,.

Sounds like you got water in with the oil, it raised your oil level. when that happens it can get pushed out the breather tube inside the air box then gets burned(hence the smoke) Lets hope that's all it is!!

yea ill def. change the oil i need to buy a filter though. I have another question when sitting on a hill or a little incline it stalls out. its fine if its sitting flat, and its never done this before and it has plenty of gas, so i couldnt figure that out but since most of you guys know what your talking about i figured id ask you.. thanks for your help

Theres more fun in 2 riders and 2 quads but i had to go back to basics last weekend with my best friend????he is stockcar proficient (Win in cars) not quad.... we were riding along and he nerfed me hit me in the back so hard it caved my muffler in flat and i did not have my armorer on front or back and he thought it was funny I spun him (tore my plastic off doing it and rolled him) and it was a expensive outing i am still pissed.... we dont got belts and cages around us and he was not orientated.... he is now i am glad nobody really got hurt.jh

Instead of making a new topic i figured i could ask on here, If i drilled holes in my muffler would it change performance on my prairie at all or would i need a better intake first? and if so what size holes?
