Default P700 vs brute confusion??

I was at the dealer today getting a new belt and there were two brothers in there talking to the dealer about there new quads, one bought the 700 and the other a 750. They proceeded to tell him the prairie wins every time by 2 lengths. The dealer basicly didnt believe them and after arguing for a while the dealer had them pull out the 2 they use for test drives. They lined up and raced down the street right in front of the store. Sure enough the prairie won by a half quad. They switched riders and the prairie won by a full bike length. (not 2) but still won. The dealer was amazed as was I. I am not partial to either of these quads and would like to get one of each for different types of riding. I would have a very tough time deciding which one to get if I had to decide. (and would be happy either way) In other words Im not trying to get anything started. Just thought it was very intresting and you might like to speculate.

Default P700 vs brute confusion??

My dad recently bougth a BF and he and I both way about 265 #s and his BF will beat my STP700 and my P650 without any problem I have road his BF for about two hours up in colorado and it deffinantly was more powerfull than either of my quads and both of mine are modded with CDI boxes Pipe kits and K&N filters. It may have been just the altitude was messing more with mine than his But most all of the mods my quads have should lean them out and give me the advantage in the higher altitudes than a stock quad. I will have to try it again back in arkansas where we are at a propper altitude for our jetting.

Thats the outcome I have always heard (and expected from this run). I was agreeing with the dealer that the brute would win hands down in a straight line race, But I cant argue with what I saw with my own eyes. They wernt playing around either, laying over the handle bars hammer down both times. I dont know? The brute will obviously have more power if tuned right just from larger ccs. Is there a weight difference in the two bikes to speak of?

Default P700 vs brute confusion??

Dads was brand new 0 miles when we unloaded it off the trailer and we did not race till day 2 after about 200 miles of trail riding, Now that I think about it dad said he thought it was getting stronger and stronger the more he road it I road it on day three and it definantly felt alot stronger than my quads. I wonder if there is some kind of breakin program in the computor that holds it back that forst 50 miles or so. I don't know. I guess that 750 motor might just be real tight that first few miles too, just not sure.

i dunno about all this....the brute has only 2lbs more to it, and alot more low end due to that larger motor...supposedly more top with the redesigned intake too...ive seen a brute repeatedly put the stompin on a 700..but ive also seen a vid where a hopped up 650 looks to be givin out the *** kickin...who knows for sure....
