P700 First Mud Drag w Dyna & 4 Degree Key
#1
Just finished up with the mud drags in Southern IL. I got a bad feeling when the Brute Force 750 came pulling in. But the final race for first came down to the Kawasaki 700 against the Brute Force 750. The P700 came out on Top with the first place. The Brute Force owner and I got together and talked after the races were over. He had Jet kit and muffler mods. We had some unofficial drag races between the P700, the Brute 750 and a 2 wd Sport Bike on a dirt track. P700 on top here also. We swapped my Dyna into the Brute 750 and the owner was pretty happy with the results (Probably buy one and smoke me next time!) Oh Yeah, The sport bike was last. Anyway since I managed to pull of the first in 4 wd class, I removed the front drive shaft (Easily Done) and entered the 2wd class. My luck ran out here. I did manage to eliminate some 2wd but was having problems spinning the 28" Mudzilla's on the start line. After I got eliminated I realized that maybe I should of took off easy and then punched it. Oh well, too late now. They also decided they did not want me to run in the 2wd class anymore even with the drive shaft out. So anyway I told KOD that I would post results of running with the Dyna CDI and the DG 4 degree key. Got to do something about that 2wd traction if I can find a race that will let me in again. It's all for fun, but winning makes for a little better day. I also got to test drive the Brute Force 750.

Thanks cuda440 for letting me/us know how it did. Congrats on your win. I believe my P650 with the proto type cdi and degree key will run fine. I hope it will give me 50mph in 350'.

cuda440, Have you ever had you bike up to 64 with key and cdi? Maybe the combo works well until top end. Sounds like you had the tires for the mud race. How did the bf guy think he would win with 25" mud lights.

My gaskets came from my dealer. I always look up the prices on ronayers to make sure they are not cheating me. The guys at the service department know me pretty good and will work up good prices for me.

Travelor, I removed the 28" Mudzillas and put on the stock wheels and tires. Ran it down the road on a flat surface and the speedometer is reading 70. That is with the Dyna and 4 degree key.
