Default Airbox Mods update

I posted some new pictures of the airbox and how its doing if anyone is interested in seeing it. The folder is in the Prairie 650 mods album and is called "Airbox Update".

I added 3 more pictures, one showing a water drain tube I made and two others showing the 2002 air box design.

so do you feel a seat of the pants speed improvement. Do u think if u taped up the cold air intake u would be way rich?

So u were at 145 142 with just nyroc mod and snorkle/filter?

then the cold air intake took you to 150 148?

That is right. I did the 150/148 jetting before installing the 03 airbox. I could tell it was rich and ran the 02 airbox with the holes I had drilled exposed. I knew that wouldnt work for hot weather and was just a bandaid for the time being. Then, when I got the 03 airbox the rich running was back. I didnt want to detune it and go back to 145/142 so thats when the "cold air intake mod" hit me. At first I was worried about rain getting in but now I know that wont be a problem.

And yes, if I did tape up the holes in the Summer I would be rich for sure. I might get by with taping some up this Winter as its possible it could run lean.
