Why is the BF so narrow and tall?
#1
I was looking at the BF today and could not believe how tall and narrow this quad is. No wonder you hear how tippy they are. The seat height had to be at least 4" higher then the P700. The front end was only 43" wide outside of tire to outside. From the front it allmost looked like my lifted truck I had when the stock tires were still on. So with it haveing the same engine as the P700, why does it sit so tall compared to the P700? Why would you put such power in a atv, yet make it so narrow? Reminds me of the raptor. Heck the Raptor is only 43"wide. For $7600 you should not have to go out and widen it out with new tires and rims.

Yeh I agree about buying a new quad for that much and having to buy new tires.
But after I put those new rims and tires it just GRIPS AND RIPS!!!
Its pretty amazing how well it handles, I have had it on some really nasty offcambers
and it never once made my A** pucker

How much wider did the tires and rims make compared to stock? So with the rims and tires that you bought must of put you cost of the BF over $8000. Man these quads are getting expensive, and it doesn't even have EFI yet. I heard they will next year.

Elka and Works will both be coming out with after market shocks that will lower the quad and extend the width of the wheel base and at the same time provide you more travel and a much better suspension. Just ask anyone who put them on their Prairies or V-Forces.

If I find this quad to be really good and I wan to keep it for a couple of years, I might upgrade my shocks.
Right now I have 28" mudlites on stock rims. If you thought it was tall and skinny before, you should see it now, lol. I'll have pictures of it next weekend.
