I was just wondering, have any of you seen a turbo kit for the kfx700 yet?

 

i havent seen any, BUT. i think there's one guy on here that is going to install one on his prairie, i think its customfabandweld. check with him.

 

Yup, Ballistic makes an intercooled turbo kit, around $5k.

 

Yeah, I'm going to do it, but it's not a kit. You can bet that I won't have $5k in it, probably more like $1k when I'm done. Man, a V with a turbo would be AWESOME!

I love my kfx, but for a 700cc quad, I think it should be faster.

 

Dont hold your breath waiting for Ballistic to release their turbo kit. I have had several conversations with Steve and they are always "close" to selling theirs, this goes back several months now. I realize that R and R takes time, but time is running out for Ballistic.....

The better bet will be with Kelly from KMS Performance who will be getting on the KFX700 kit just after the big Holloween riding weekend. He should be able to offer us an EFI and turbo kit, possibly a twin turbo for under 4K by Christmas this year. He has already developed a kit for the DS and Raptor and is currently finishing on 3 other bikes now, that is why the 700 will be after Holloween.

I personally spoke with him in length a couple of weeks ago and he already has the 700 on hand for testing and a turbo platform to work from. His kit with the EFI will offer up to a 300% increase in power. KMS is located in the Phoenix, AZ area. Keep your fingers crossed.
