Default Dynojet....?

Hey guys i bought a Dynojet stage one kit today. Now,im well under 1000 feet, it advised me to put a 132 in the back and a 128 in the front, thats a big differece from the stock,i removed the stock needles, put the new ones in,with the c-clip on the 5th notch, the bike seems to work good, lots of power, good throttle response, its just i was worried that i might run to lean with such a drastic jump in jet sizes,or is that not really a drastic jump?I did a spark plug check but the plug was so black from when it was running so rich that it was hard to get a good reading with the new jets and all in it,i dont know, well see i guess, thanks for all the help guys!

Check out this chart . If it's accurate you went with slightly richer main jets, not leaner. If it's running strong I wouldn't be concerned.

Oppss, just realized you have a 650, not a V. Not sure what the stock jetting is on the 650, guessing you are still running richer MJ's now ???

Hi thanks for responding but when you go down in jet size that means the hole in the jet is also smaller, resulting in less fuel delivery, which means lean doesnt it now?? my stock is 138 and 142 and i went to 128 and 132 so it has to be leaner no??

Dynojet sizes don't correspond with factory jet sizes. You actually jetted up. Look up the comparison chart on the link a few posts up, or check Nyroc's site...

SH$% !!! i knew there was something screwed up about that, damm, lol,ok so im running a tad richer you think,so i should drop down another two sizes or so eh??? thats why it has more throttle response,so should i leave it like that?? it seems to be working awesome, doesnt bog as much off the bottom end,so when you have mods naturally you should go a tad richer??? thanks buddy!!
