found extended Mojave A-Arms
#1
I have been looking for extended a-arms for my mojave for a long time and finally found them. They are 2" extended, adjustable, chromoly a-arms from Burgard cycle and only cost $500. I had them overnight shipped today (Wednesday) and sould be here on friday. I will tell you how they work after my Motocross race this weekend.

I just got them on and finished today (Saturday). It took me much longer than expected to get them on because the sleeve inside the bushings was too long and they took a lot of hamering and grinding of the sleeve to get in. Also Burgard didn't tell me I had to get LT250R lower ball joints and he screwed up and chromed the threads in the tie rods. I got used ball joints from East Coast ATV and my tie rod ends forced in by East Coast also since I live 5 minutes away from them. I have only had time to ride it a few times to get my steering strait again and my chamber adjusted. The chamber is very hard to figure out because if I had too much it wouldn't want to turn and if I had too little it wanted to turn so much you spin out constantly. Overall the fit was absolutely horable but they seemed to be of good quality and performance is great once you get your chamber set right. My only problem now is even though I stiffened up the springs on my Works shocks they still don't work right so I have to get them revalved soon.

Extended a-arms work a lot better on an actual motocross track. My machine fly's straiter off of jumps, turns quicker, is more stable, land better off jumps, and goes a lot faster through whoops. They take a lot of getting used to because I realy didn't go much faster until the second moto. In the first moto I placed 10/17 and still wasn't comfortable on the new setup. In the second moto wich was cut down to 2 laps I would have placed 7/17 if some a**hole on a 400ex that I passed right befor the second to last turn wouldn't have a** ended me. What realy pissed me off the most was he was going so fast into the cornerhe would have crashed anyway but he had to hit me in the process and jam his tire over my axle and bend my sprocket. Well maybe this weekend at Sleep Hollow MX track I might go without getting hit with my ne arms.

I don't have any pics right now but I cut them by removing the the two brackets that hold the fenders on. Then I rough cut them with a sawzaw about 1/2" away from where the fenders start. I took off the last 1/2" off with a belt sander until it looked right. I will try to get you some pics of my mojave from my race this sunday. I will just bring my still camera instead of my video. I might even be able to get some vidio onto my computer but don't count on it. Also doas anyone know how much a set of stock rear plastic are from kawasaki costes. Thanks
