88 MoJave stock shock question
I got this bike a month ago and have been using it for trails. the person who owned it before me was a very large man (300+ #) and the front shocks are still in good shape but he has them adjusted to the last (Longest) stop. I think this maybe why it so ruff riding and wears me out. going over rocks beats the heck out of me.
Can some one tell me where the stock adjustment setting is or what would be good starting point for a 200# person would be.
thanks in advance

Hello R6JUNKIE, are you asking about adjusting the front or the rear shocks. The rear has 5 positions, and #2 fromt the softest is a good starting point. The fronts- try the softest if rock gardens are your forte. But also- the last owner being that big of a fella, and depending how he rode the quad- the shocks may just be jounce out. A 250R rear unit can help alot.

kwackermann,
thanks for responding. yes it for the front.
I never thought of the area as a rock garden, but I guess it is. the area is mostly creek beds, mud holes rocky trails. thanks about the hint about the 250r rear also.
here is some vids for a few weeks ago.
