Default HELP! P700 PROBLEMS

I posted earlier about my p700 not going in 4x4 mode. What do I need to check? I am really freaked out about this problem. I just bought the quad on Tuesday. Please if anyone knows anything about this subject it would be greatly appreciated.

Default HELP! P700 PROBLEMS

Mine is at the dealer being fixed for the same problem...

Check down by the foot brake and look at the wire (plug). Its called a speed sensor or something... If it's broken or dislodged take it to the dealer for repair (Warranty)

Hope that helps...

Default HELP! P700 PROBLEMS

It makes a clanking or grinding noise in reverse. Other than that it doesn,t do nothing in 4x4 mode. The display and speed work fine. It even says I am in 4x4 mode, but front wheels dont turn.

Default HELP! P700 PROBLEMS

ok, just got in from checking fuses and switch and it seems to be working fine. I also jacked up all four tires and put it in 4x4 mode. Some weird things happened. All four tire rotated till I gave it a little throttle then the fronts didnt move anymore. When I put it in reverse they would turn again. I also heard some clanking going on in the belt cover area. Sounded like rocks in there.hmmm. Any suggestions?

I just replaced them instead. But thanks for the reply. I also took of thr front actuator and looked to see if the gear was broke. It wasnt. which way do you slide the gear in the front housing to get it to lock in 4 wheel drive?

Default HELP! P700 PROBLEMS

Same problem today with my 700... gone to the dealer for some healing; I think it was like this for a while. I believe it's in the front diff, even thou the noise sounds like it's coming from the front of the clutch. I think once pressure goes on the front end it releases both front wheels. What ever this is it's not very comman with the KVF700. I have about 6,000km on mine. My belt light would also come on after a while here too ?? It is reading the right speed and 4x4 would work off and on, the panel reads right from the switch and it doesn't flash between 2x4 and 4x4. Also the acualator engages and disengage properly.
