I need some info from u guys, this is the problem im buyin a new quad and i cant deside on a kfx400 or the new 400ex or 350 raptor. the price ranges vary and i want the best of my money. Its got to be a 4 stroke and keep this in mind im going to be trailing and mxing. I need a smaller stance and also have a lower profile for the woods. Also needing the power and response not Necessarily two stoke response but just overall quiker acceleration . need ok handeling i can always adjust. I want to be able to change from woods to mx and not having to adjust to much. comfortability is an issue. please respond with any and all info
thanks guys.

the 05 kfx's are really nice...me and my buddy just got one from the crate and it seemed alot more faster than last year...i really don't think that the shocks are better but they are very adjustable which is a big plus goin from trails to MXing...and they are cheaper than the 400ex i think overall i think the kfx/Z's are an excellent choice for your intentions

Got To Agree KFX

The best handling quad I have ever ridden was the 400ex and the 250r. The geometry of the suspension is perfect. Taking into consideration what you said about the types of riding you do I would recommend the KFX. I use to own a 400ex and to me they are the best trail bikes around. Using a 400ex for motocross is like using a blaster for drag races. There are just to many more powerful quads out there that will make the 400ex look like a grandma quad. The kfx is definitely the better quad for mxing. Don't buy a z-400. I think that kawasaki does something to their quads that suzuki doesn't. All the Z-400s I have seen were junk and the KFX400's seem to last longer and were more reliable, not to mention FASTER

I've also been deciding on what quad i should get out of the 400ex, kfx 400, z400, and the rap 350 and from what i can see is that the kfx has the edge over most of them in my opion so i am probally getting the kfx myself.

it's a clone of the suzuki quad. its not going to be faster. that's a mental thing. all parts come from suzuki expcept the thing over the lights in the front and maybe the different color plastic (but i bet all are contracted out to the same plant). the only thing they could be doing better is since they make less of them per yr is better quality control- which is good- but still the dealer should be looking over this when they 'assemble' it for you no matter if they are honda, suzuki, kawasaki, yamaha, etc.Don't buy a z-400. That's funny the KFX & the Z are 99% the same, yet all you read about in the magazines is the Z. If I were Kawaski, I'd do something about that. Taking all the glory!!!!

A buddy of mine has a 04 EX and I can't beat him but he has it modded also and I'm totally stock. We'll see who wins when I get some mods . Never raced an 05 EX, yet. Originally posted by: BIGBLAZER

Suzuki workers are out to get the "man"...so they don't tighten bolts and retard the timing, as well as strategically placing tacs underneath the seat cover...
