Prairie 700 vs. New King Quad 700
#2
I really think it depends on what you intend to do with the bike. The Praire is by far a better "sport/utility" quad but the King Quad to me would make a better 4x4/utility quad, thats my two cents. Both are outstanding quads, Rich

I had an 02 prairie 650, nice quad never had any problems. It had nice low center of gravity, great torque and sporty handling. I wish it had a more comfortable ride (seat) and a bit more ground clearance. Cant say much about the King, just be wary of a new model til they get the bugs worked out -- reverse gear failure. Other than that it sounds like a great quad.

Seat of the pants power ..... P700
Cushy caddy like ride........... KQ700
Head turning sound............. P700
Any weather starting............KQ700
Always out front (or near it).P700
All altitude riding..................KQ700
Can't go wrong with either. By the way if the P700 doesn't have enough a$$ for ya there are a lot of mods to make this thing scary powerfull!
Enjoy whichever you choose.

I don't know much about the Suzuki. I heard its a pretty good machine. I'd go with the Kawi. Great power, just a bad *** 4x4. Hardly any probs with them. Tons of power potential too if you want more. My friend has one with a pro circuit pipe on it and rejetted. Sounds great and more power. Can't go wrong with the 700 Kawi!

My 2 favorite utilities, can't go wrong with either, drive them both and follow your gut.

Just went through the same thought process myself. I also had the Brute Force 750 in the running. While I like the extra power of the 750, I thought the BF was too tippy (this was with wider, aftermarket tires on a friends BF too). On the King Quad, I really didn't want to buy another first year quad (I bought the first Z400 to show up in MD), especially one with EFI. The Z400 has been a great quad, but the early models had a few short comings (Axle, areas of the frame, etc. -- it wasn't a Honda). Since I'm used to riding sport quads, the sporty handling of the Prairie appealed to me the most. It also has tons of power. But, this also appealed to me and swayed my decision -- I paid $6,200 out the door for a 2005 Prairie with the $69 winch deal. A King Quad or BF would of cost at least a $1,000 more. Jump on the Prairie, it's a proven platform, and their giving them away right now!!!
