I have two Bayou 220's. A '92 and a '94. I have had problems with the brakes on both of them. Either the pads wear out very fast or else the cables stretch. This is starting to get very frustrating!! Is anyone else having this problem or am I just unlucky? Does anyone have any ideas on how i could prevent this from happening so often?

i havent ever had any problems with the pads on my 94 220. Replaced them this past winter.....i guess i try to use engine brakeing more to save wear on them hehe :-)

Never had to replace either the front or back shoes on my '97 model.

i have a 2000 bayou 220 and i am so mad about the brakes on this thing, i have almost learned to ride without using the brakes, the front brakes havent worked for probably 6 out of the 8 months i've had it and the dealer supposedly cant find the problem, but i think i kno what the problem is, and its the fact that kawasaki engineers just didnt spend enough time on these braking systems.......
