Ok well lately my quad has been putting when i am riding and back fireing alot then it will just shut off? can neone tell me what it could be? could it be bad gas? plz help..

 

 

could the choke be stuck on or to rich...go to kawieriders .com without the space for help

 

Could very well be- how old is the gas? What temperature are you riding in? Why am I here? Just kidding on the last question.......... [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

The gas was about 5 months old and i live in florida the weather has been about 60-80 degrees out.

 

5 month old gas- it's not that old, hmm. Well- at this point run a tank of premuim thru there. Now- does it start and idle OK?

 

yes it starts and runs idle fine, just when im ridin it , it seems like tis wants to cut off like gas isnt gettin there fast enough and it back fires some time shuts off.

 

Starting to sound electrical- can you start it up again after it cuts out? How long have you had the quad? When did it start doing this?

 

yes i can start it up after it cuts off some times i have to wait a min or 2, ive had it for a lil while now, and it started this about 2 weeks ago but not that bad last nite was really bad and it was actualy was cutting off and back firing.

 

Clean the carb maybe. sounds like what my uncles tecate was doing is it would run for about 1 min then just die and if you let it sit you could start it back up. After we cleaned the carb it rand just fine
