Winch wiring question for BF750
#2
Warn Winch? Just follow the directions that came with it for a specific Brute Force installation. Mine came with a kit, for a real sano installation in the back of the ATV between the rear frame rails. Contact Warn, and they can send you a copy of these installation instructions. Mine looks like it could have come from the factory this way. Hope this helps.

No specific instuctions are included with my winch. Could you take a picture or describe where you mounted it? Mounted between the rear frame rails there is not enough cable to make it to the battery.

I have mine in the same location that scottd mentioned basically right where most would have their storage compartment closest to the red plastic to the front with the attached u bolts to the frame rail. I put the supplied bolts in mine and it also came with the instructions "if" I can find them I will try to send them over to you. Mine was the $69 Warn 2.5 from Kaw.

I'm running a warn 3.0ci. I pulled the crappy tool bag out from under the seat and strapped the contacter box in it's place with the supplied rubber bungie from the tool kit mount. This way the connections say clean and keep most of the water off of it. I 've always felt that you don't want your connections exposed to the elemens right next to the rear tire, I've wired up my p360 and p650 the same way.

Much like Idaho, i used the space previously occupied by the OEM supplied tool pouch. I used some zip ties and got it in there pretty good. The wiring was still a pain, as it was almost too long, and took some creative routing. Just make sure you get all the wires and cables securely fastened with the zip ties and you should be ok.

Cool. Thanks. Will Let everyone know how it turns out. Did you use their handle bar mount for the switch? Was considering modifying the flat space above the gear shift for a built in. Anyone do something like that have any pointers for creating smooth holes in the plastic?
