broken brute

Is he running 27" or larger tires? If yes then a clutch kit is needed to keep the belt tight. I had belt issues with my P700 after my 3rd ride but after the clutch kit all is good. 90% of my riding is in low and the only time I ride in high is at speeds of 60km+ or 30mph.
Needless to say dealers are not created equal and he could be looking for a new fur coat for his wife and this is why the belt issue is not covered under warrenty.
good luck.

well they claimed that my cousin had a defective switch. They bypassed the switch. He was able to ride another 200 km before our big ride. He was worried because he had belt issues at 300 and 600 and now had 800. He was nervous. He rode 100 km day one and on day two he joined the crew as we embarked on a long ride through Quebec province. We made a 200 mile loop, approx. 300km. The belt switch held up. He was psyched. Although he did manage to overheat once. We were idling at trailside. It appeared his fan was not coming on. But after cooling down for 20 minutes he was fine for another 90 miles! Hopefully his luck changes for the better and I don't think it has anything to do with operater error or the BRUTE is a sad excuse for an ATV. He still has his original belt in great shape.

So what does that mean dude? I think the quad that sutes the owner is the best one, and F.Y.I. the rincon has the least amount of features in the class and ranked below the polaris. so here is my opinion, the hondas are over rated, too heavy made of weaker plastic, wont climb an ant hill with any free will you have to keep brakes clean or they squeal on and on but if it fits your needs then it is best for you. as for me my brute has problems too. but it kicks a$$ if thte rider has the b@lls to run the **** out of it..
and if he does it will stop in a big hurry without squealls in the brakes. just dont get stuck in 2wd and have to use reverse in 4wd
mine wont engage 4wd while in reverse. that is the only downfall of my 750i, and may be the reason to sell it ( I'll miss the twin torque ) and what about the head gasket? what did he do to blow it this early ?? mabye ran cam-2 or airplane fuel?? come on lets hear it so the rest of us dont try to squease too much from our mashines ..and blow them up I cant afford to rebuild a top end yet and shouldnt' for at least 2000 MI later dude

I did my first belt adjustment at 600 miles. I run 27x10x12 mudlites on the front and 27x12x12 on the rear. So with the bigger tires that is pretty good since the belts are shipped loose from the manufacturer. The 750 has enough power that clutch kits are not needed in most cases. In most cases I stay in low up to around 30 mph. I had a 300 and a 650 and constantly replaced belts on both of them. I think they have got the BF a little closer to being right when it comes to the clutches. Have no complaints or worries about my BF. As far as what is best, I have ridden several different wheelers, mostly big bore utes, and had fun on every one of them. Honda, Yamaha, Artic Kitty, and Popo,s. They are all good machines.
