Madcap, Take a look on ebay, yesterday there was the front diferential for your quad on there cheap like $60. I havent looked there today but if I happen to see it I will let you know.

i have a 04 700 praire and had a problem with my 4 wheel drive as well
we were breaking trail in deep soft snow in 4 wheel drive and as i got almost home put it in 4x2 to break the bank down more 4x4 would not ingage for a couple of days until today last night i had the furnace in garage on for a few hours and then today i took it out and tapped on the actuator a few times with a hammer and now i amazingly my 4x4 is working must have been frozen inside hopefully yours is as easily fixed good luck

Well I won the diferential on Ebay. Got it for 160.00. The dealer installed it. The actulator was trashed also. 250.00. 300 for labor. Back in action. No dealer has ever seen anything like this before. Just my luck. Thanks to everyone for your help.

 

Hey madcap just thought i would let you know the same thing happened too my cousins 04 700 prairie the kawi covered the whole shot no questions asked i dont know if you have warranty left or not just thought i would let you know

 

I bought it used. No warranty. Did they say how it happened? Everyone that I talk to doesn't have a clue what went wrong and I talked to a lot of people. I bought the p650 after a lot of research. They say they are rock solid. The dealers say that after they sell them they never see them again for service. I hope that I didn't make a mistake.

 

No worries. I have never had my P650 to the shop nor have I had to replace anything but the belt, racks, etc. that I have damaged in my travels.

 

When it happened the dash light was flashing back and forth from 2wd to 4wd but I think my cousin pulled on the locker under heavy torque the housing exploded there was a hole in the case but he managed to creep it back home about 3 miles I was not there so i cant say for sure
