CDI AND ICM PK

I believe they are both intended to do the same thing, I have been researching them a little bit, and they both re-map your ignition curve, spark, etc. the nice thing that the Dynatek offers that I don't believe the the HL does, is reverse rev limiter overide along with a higher rev limiter. The Dynatek plugs in just as the stock part, the HL looks as if it has to be hard wired in. I am not an expert on the matter by far, but I am leaning towards the Dynatek myself. See what others have to offer for advice and good luck.

There has been a fair amount of technical problems with the Dynatec but I hear that is mostly fixed. I still prefer the Diamond G Racing module over the others because of the built in microprocessor and on off switch imbedded into the unit. There is also a bright led light that lets you know when it is activated, I saw a post somewhere with a 7.2 rear wheel horse power gain! Not bad for $100.00 less than the Dyna

You can call DG at 714-299-3865. Their website is not up to date. I went with the dg5 because you can hide it and it gives you no troubles. No rejetting to. I can hang with a dyna bf and they don't know why. I haven't met anyone yet on the trail that was running the cdi and didn't carry along there stock cdi too, just so they wont get stranded?

The Powerpack is a module and the DYNA is a pluf & Play replacement CDI. The Modules do not affect the Dyna CDI when installed since modules are tied into a different circuit. Modules are designed to work with the stock CDI. Some people leave the modules wired in just in case they decide to put the original stock CDI back in.
Both the CDI and the Modules will work with a flywheel key however the CDI requires less offset of a key than the Module. It's been stated on this forum that its not recommended to run more than a 4 degree key with the Dyna CDI. Some forum members claim the flywheel key + Modules offer the same performance as the Dyna however, the Dyna CDI continues to advance timining after 6500 RPM unlike the modules that retard timing after 6500 RPM.
I have an old DG Holeshot module still wired in. The big difference I notice with DYNA CDI is at 10-15 MPH, nail the throttle, the Dyna Still pulls the front wheels, where the Hole shot only gave full power below 10-15MPH.
