I remember last fall when some guys were talking about kawa coming out with a v-twin 500cc class utility quad prairie. Do you think kawa would do something like this? I think it would be great due to the v-twin power and torque. What do you think???? BTW......I have not heard anything about one coming out, just entertainig the thought.

My local dealer is selling the BF 650 for $6000 that's with no haggles, so I think brutebadger has a point, not much room for a 500cc motor when there selling the BF 650 for a 500cc price.. By the way brutebadger, what dealer did you buy yours from & how much did you pay, my buddy definetly is buying one & I might as well...

Where ever you and your buddy gets yours, make sure they don't charge freight or any of those other garbage fees.
P.S. This is one fine machine. I run with and even beat my dad's and brother's 700's all day.

I did not mean to get rid of the 650-700-750cc v-twins.........MAY THAT NEVER HAPPEN! But, I was wondering if they would make a 500cc v-twin to compete with the 500cc class quads out there......like the honda rube, suzuki vinison, polaris 500HO, Yamaha 450 Kodiak, Artic Cat 500, Bombardia 500...etc.

But when there is a 500cc shootout, the 650BF will not be considered. I understand that you can get the 650BF for about the same price as a competetors 500cc quad, but the shootouts will not include the BF650 in the 500cc class. I was just posing a question. If I was going to buy a 500cc quad, I would get the 650BF for about the same price. But, if I really wanted to stay at 500cc's, kawa doesn't have one. That is why I was posing this question. They have the big bores and the 360prairie for the small bores, but nothing really in the mid bore range.....aka 400-500cc. I was wondering IF they did make one, would it be a v-twin design. Nothing more, nothing less.

Our local Kawi dealer also told me of these 500 cc rumors possibly a V twin, with IRS, im thinking that the 650 is priced @ the other 500 levels will the v500 be priced @ the other brands 400 s? This definetly sounds like a good thing ,I think Kawi sales would skyrocket possibly higher than honda.:

Chances are they will just rebadge the Eiger to fill the hole in their line-up.
As for buying a new quad, cash is overrated. Dealers make more money if you finance. i'm not saying that is the thing to do but you can take advantage of this buy using their card and buying the quad with it and thne paying it off either immedialtly or do your own financing. The reason this works is that the dealer gets a percentage of the financing deal and you pay a lower price. If you don't pay it off immidatley or do your own financing then you will pay more because of the finance charges so you have to go into it with a plan. If you simply go in with cash the dealer is going to tell you a slightly higher price just to make up for the difference he is losing on the financing kick back.
You might as well use their money for a month.
