Default Wheels and Tires??

I am interested in putting wheels and tires on my BF 750. I would like to put the widest wheel and tire set up on it as I can, so to increase the bikes stability. I am also interested in staying with a 25" or possibly going to a 26". I really do not want to go too tall and take gear and power out of the bike. Can anybody tell me from experience how much power loss there is going to a taller tire. Keep in mind I have to have the biggest and best so any power loss is too much. I was looking at Mud Lites, size 26-12-12, however all the wheels i have looked at are only seven inches wide. Is this a major issue with that wide of a tire? What wheels does everybody recommend (aluminum/steel)? What tires do you all recommend? If anybody has pictures for a visual aid that would be great. Thanks for any help.

Default Wheels and Tires??

I have a set of 26x10x12 and 26x12x12 mudlites (they were) mounted on c series type 5s. They look great and handle good too, but they took a good deal of power away. You can feel the difference. I just bought a set of ATRs in 25s to get the power back. Now I keep 2 sets of wheels and tires for different riding. ATRs on type 5s for trails, summer, and just playing around, and the mudlites on stock wheels for mud, snow, and bad terrain.

Default Wheels and Tires??

i just put 25' alltracks on type 5's the increase in handling is great the rims increase the width 5' inrear and 3' in the front only problem is alltracks hook up too much! seems like to much weight transfer to rear can't get it to flat track like the prairie did but also i'm climbing things in 2wd that i needed 4wd on the prairie if i were you i would go with 25' bighorns on c5's also alltracks only measure 23' not 25' ?

I don't think a small amount of power loss on 750 would hurt anything. Might even make it more easy to ride! It it were my 750 I'd put 27" tires on it.....They have 2 750's at my Kawi dealer with 27" Mudlites on one and 27" 589's on the other both with type 5 wheels they look awesome!

I just put on 26"589's. Only took it for a couple of quick rips. Let's just say that what I used to have to go through in 4wd, some of it I can take in 2wd now. They do hook up. Looking into CDI now and probably a full set of skid plates. Awesome tires though.
