Will we see new classes?
Granted this is a quad forum, but we can tace our lineage to the bikes. Which bring up this question. With 2006 fast approaching and 2- strokes going the way of the dinosaur, we've seen manufacturers brining out 250cc 4- stokes to compete in the traditional 125cc class, and I think just about every manufacturer now- a 450cc to compete in the traditional 250cc class.
After the 2- stokes are officially gone, will the classes then become , " the 250cc class and the 450cc class"?
What's gonna happen?

There has been "discussion" in some of the bike magazines about new class proposals though. Four strokes are now allowed double the displacement of two strokes, which gives them an advantage. To help level the playing field there has been discussion about creating a new 250 class and a new 450 class, and four strokes could run displacements up to the class limit. Two strokes competing in the 250 class would be allowed to run up to 200cc displacement, and two strokes competing in the 450 class would be allowed to run up to 400cc displacement. Keep in mind that this was just "discussion", and that the AMA has not made any changes yet. I would not be surprised to see new classes in the next few years though.

The biggest push right now is to develop a nitrogen powered automobile. GM is supposed to have a prototype driving around already. The turbin tops can poke sand where the sun don't shine once the US goes to nitrogen power
