Wheelie Question
#1
Have had my 650 for 3 months now and have been experimenting with wheelie's and have gotten reasonabley good at them and getting some good hang time. I have heard of v-twin street bikes having trouble with wheelie's and ruining the motor with oil not getting to the right moving parts while vertical. Has anyone had trouble or is this possible to damage the engine with extended hang time. Thanks for the input.

I don't think their will be lack of lubrication to the extreme that the motor will lose power because of how vertical it is poised, unless you are doing a 2hr wheelie.

I noticed when I do wheelies on my V-Force for a long time like a football field long, it starts leaking from the top of the motor somewhere. Only does it when its verticle. Might be comin out of the carb boots or somethin. I don't do wheelies as often now. I was doin them that one day for atleast 45 minutes to an hour. Farmers fields are the best place! Thank god for Kansas! haha

I was looking on the Suzuki site for something else and found this for the V-twin 700 suzuki:
Utility/Convenience Features
'Compact digital instrument display including speedometer, odometer, tripmeter, hour meter, clock, 2WD/4WD, oil warning, belt indicator and low fuel
12V DC electrical accessory outlets conveniently mounted both front and rear - standard automotive-style outlets fit a wide range of electrical accessories
Bright 45/45W multi-reflector headlights, plus large 5/21W combination taillight/brake light
"Vehicle Down" sensor cuts engine fuel supply to prevent fuel leakage if the vehicle leans over more than 65 degrees
Sturdy floorboards and adjustable footpegs for plenty of grip
Large 4.5 gallon fuel tank for long-range operation'
The "Vehicle Down" sensor feature......hmm, might be something to this about not holding a wheelie too long.
The zuki v-twin is supposed to be a kawasaki prairie in different color....has anybody noticed a 'vehicle down' sensor on our Prairies, or maybe this is just their change?

I had this happen once on the prarie but I thought it was an oil sensor in the motor, i popped out of a ditch straight up quick and then she shut off and the oil light came on. I assumed it was the low oil sensor in the motor not a fuel sensor.
