alright i am looking at a 02 kfx 400 at the dealer they want 3500 is this to much also i would be trading my 01 yz125 for it what could i expect to get for trade in.. need help soon going up there tomorrow

 

also how are kfx's i would think they would be pretty quick and i know there is a lot of mods for these but are they reliable

I would help but I just dont know anything about kfx 400s. A Kfx 700 I know you can get newer than 02 for $4000 or less. so that price might be high.

 

Are you sure it's 02, anyways, they are very reliable. I've had mine for 2yrs. and only thing that I guess broke was that the parking nut got loos and didn't work I tightend itand it's fine now.

 

I don't think they made KFX400s up 'til 03, I could be rong.

 

is your kfx pretty fast i mean can u keep up with the 450 with the mods u have..... i just want a new quad with alot of potental

The KFX400 are bad *** machines. Tons of potential. I just installed a big bore 440 kit on one and its beating 450R Honda's. Of course this KFX 440 has more than just a big bore kit, it had complete K&N filter system, full HMF exhaust, rejetted it. Haven't heard of any recalls on the 400's so I know they are tough and reliable. I'd go after that 400. You'll be happy.
