Default Hey Kwackermann....

I'm looking to install the Lakota swingarm on my Mojave, and I was wondering how the 250R rear shock worked out for you. Does the Mo sit lower?? Did you lose any suspension travel? Also, are there any watch-outs I need to be made aware of? Thanks for your input!

Howdy- the swap is pretty straight forward, and the quad sits at the same height, surprisingly. The ride is a good deal firmer but I haven't played with the spring adjusment yet. No watch outs per se, although you will need to enlarge the bolt holes in the swingarm and frame from the stock 10mm to the required 14mm which can be donw with a 17/32" drill bit and a rat tail file if you cannot find the 14mm bit. the flanges will also need to be ground down on the swingarm, I'll try to dig up some pictures of this. Thats about it- the 250R shock was the best thing I ever did to the quad, highly recommended!!

... by the way, seeing that you have a Lakota and Mojave- will the jets from the Mojave carburetor fit on the Lakota? The Lakota carb. is needing a rebuild, what with the float valve and all... Thanks

Not sure if the jets are interchangeable or not. Your best bet would be to go over to k awieriders.com and ask Greg from Cycle Works Racing!
