Default Alignment thoughts on KFX 700

Hey guys,
I took a good digger the other day on the V-force.
Bent up the right front tie-rod....no other damage than myself.....

Any thoughts on an alignment?
I have the front wheel alignment set with toe in (between a 1/16" & 1/8") I'm not happy with how the quad is handling...it wants to "tuck" under the front wheel with the slightest input. It is also very "nervous" under hard braking.

Has anybody played with different settings to see how the Quad reacts to:
> Toe-in
> Toe-out
> Zero

I'd appreciate hearing what settings any of you currently use and at what measurement.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Has anybody played with different settings to see how the Quad reacts to:
Toe in= More high speed stability, as in a drag race situation.
Toe out= More stability and less roll in the corners.
Straight up= A little of both.

The nervousness sounds like castor. - castor will make it very twitchy. Like it wants to go anywhere but straight. If you chowed the front end hard that's what would have happen.
I have not even bothered to check my V since I bought it. I've looked at it and it "looks" to be very close to straight up.

It almost sounds like you bent something? Other than the tie rod. If I was you I would take a wheel base measurement and see if it's the same on both sides.

from the service manual :

10-6 WHEELS / TIRES
Wheel Alignment
Toe-in is the amount that the front wheels are closer together
in front than at the rear at the axle height . When
there is toe-in, the distance A (Rear) is the greater than B
(Front) as shown .
The purpose of toe-in is to prevent the front wheels from
getting out of parallel at any time, and to prevent any slipping
or scuffing action between the tires and the ground . If
toe-in is incorrect, the front wheels will be dragged along
the ground, scuffing and wearing the tread ***** .
Caster and camber are build-in and require no adjustment.
A (Rear ) - B (Front) = Amount of Toe-in
(Distance A and B are measured at axle height with the
vehicle sitting on the ground, or at 1 G .)
Toe-in Inspection

Apply a heavy coat of chalk or a paint line near the center
of the front tires .

Using a needle nose scriber, make a thin mark near the
center of the chalk coating while turning the wheel .

With the front wheels on the ground, set the handlebar
straight ahead.
• At the level of the axle height, measure the distance between
the scribed or painted lines for both front and rear
of the front tires .

Subtract the measurement of the front from the measurement
of the rear to get the toe-in .
*If the toe-in is not in the specified range, go on to the
Toe-in Adjustment procedure .
Toe-in of Front Wheels
Standard: 10 ± 10 mm (0 .39 ± 0.39 in .) at 1G
