Default Fired up the FZ1 tonight.

After a long winters nap this evening brought 1000ccs of rumbling to the garage. I forgot how fast this thing was, been driving the little P650 all winter

I grabbed a fist full of throttle and weelied down the driveway

Ah spring ........

Rolled 100 miles on my Z1K last night myself, now it's snowing like a bastage, so much for spring.

I had my FZ1 running this weekend but did not dare take it out on the street due to all the salt, but that is getting washed away by the rain right now so it wont be long.
My first ride will be taking it to the dealer to have some 1.0 racetech springs and a new set of Michelin Pilot Roads installed.
Can't wait... Can't wait... Can't Wait...

Hey why did you go with the Pilots? I have had the 020s, Dunlop 220s, and now I have a set of Avon 45/46s looking at me. The 220s suck, way too cold and slippery IMO. I have heard a lot of good about the Pilots and nearly changed my order from Avons to Pilots. I got about 6K on the 220s and there is still a summers tread left but they suck.

There seemed to be generally good reports on the Pilot Roads over on the FZ1OA and my local dealer had a set in stock for 30% off so it was a no brainer. I have yet to try them out myself but it shouldn't take much to outperform the stock tires, they cupped really bad in the front. I really cant wait to see how the racetech springs perform.
