on my kfx 700 i ajusted the clutch for the other belt i had now i have a brand new stock belt but when i put it in gear it moves.. should i adjust the deflection or will it jsut wear a lil ? if i can find the washer things ill put em back [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

i dont know about your belt but my pants are to tight, lol.
but YES your belt is to tight, you will have to check deflection after you install some shims. it is ok to have a little squeel or chirp when in gear but not moving.

Your Belt is too tight, Need to add a shim, Go back to the factory setup (my 650 came with a single 1.4 shim).
When I switched to the 700 belt I started off with the .8 shim & belt was too tight so I added the .6 (1.4 total now).
I'll run it a few months and remeove the .6 if it can be removed & my bike don't creep forward or squeel in gear.
Too tight a belt will damage and or groove your sheeves.
