DG or HL ICM ?
#2
I can't say anything about the DG module because I have never rode a four wheeler with one put in. But I have the HL ICM on my Brute and it works great. Its a cheap piece for what it will do. Around $110 I think and it installs in 15 minutes and you can't even notice that its even there. I have mine hidden under my fuse box and it looks like it would have just came out like that from the factory. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. Hope this helps.

What's wrong with your Dyna?
Take a look at my pics you will see a module this can built for less than $10 this is basicly the same thing you wish to buy from HL or DG for over $100. A CDI is so much more it is my opinion you are going backwards but hey to each is own. If you are stuck on a module take a look at Velocity Devices they offer a module as well.

If you go with a module, it is the dg5 hands down. I would say that is the best mod for the money I spent, followed by the itp wheel/tire kit as second place. The dg5 has more features than any module out there and you can always add an offset key later. I have raced a few brutes with the dyna (one that worked) and couldn't tell any real difference except they could go 72 instead of only 70 mph. Most of the gain seems to be on the bottom end just like the module. I think the hype is bigger than what you end up with but that is only what I have seen on the trail. I think its kinda strange how some people talk up the cdi, and then tell you to always carry the stock one to keep from gettting stranded? I like the dg5 cause I didn't have to rejet over and over, which is more painful than putting in an offset key. You might should give dyna another chance. Some people have had luck with their 4th or 5th replacement. I like my riding trouble free... dg5.
