Hey man..

Both the KFX and the preddy make excellent trail rides. The downside of the KFX is definately it's weight. When your riding it around, the weight is not that noticable, and before long, you will find yourself doing things that really shouldnt be done on a 500+ lb bike. When you get into trouble " riding the whoops too fast" for instance, you'll wish it weighed a little less.

The extra clearence of the KFX let's it go through and over things other sport bikes can't. I recently went on a mountain trail ride with my cousins who were riding a Preddy and a Raptor. I don't know how deep the snow was, but I had to stay at the front of the pack because the other bikes could only make it down the trail if they stayed in my tracks. Hope this helps.

Default question for kfx700

I love my V-Force. Its a mean green machine. If you do some hop up work to it, it will keep up and also blow away other quads. Only thing I never liked about the Force is the suspension and weak tie rods and tie rod ends. Other than that its a handful. It also weighs a lot. Its got plenty of power to work with and has tons of potential for more power upgrades. The aftermarket has all that covered easily. I think its a great mud machine too. Its got good ground clearance and has enough low end to jump over anything and skip across the mud. Looks mean as hell too. Good luck on your choice.

Default question for kfx700

good post i have been thinkin about buying a vforce as well. Actually heres my situation. i want a better performing trail quad than my rappy, so i was either gonna buy a dirt cheap 400ex and mod it to my likings, or get the vforce and hope to make very few mods to make it capable of what i want it to do. i will be keeping my rappy for just putting and cruising, so basically i want it to be faster and handle better (which isnt hard).
how does the v handle as far as being tipsy? how good does the tranny slow you down? and what can be done to fix the tie rods and ends? and how weak are they?

Default question for kfx700

Things I don't like about my V.
1. It's stiff
2. Weak tie-rods. (although I have not bent mine yet I know it's only a matter of time.)
3. Small fuel tank, and short range.
4. How clogged up this thing is from the factory.

What I like about my V.
1. EVERYTHING ELSE.
It's just a super trail quad. I can go 5mph or 50 with the push of the throttle. No shifting on nasty hills. Just point, stab and steer. It's really a lazy mans quad. Hell, if I wanted to go to work I would have, or I would have bought a Banshee. I don't like to work when I ride, I want to relax and enjoy the day, so that's why I bought an auto quad. (Don't get me wrong, if you want a white knuckle ride this thing will give it to you!!!!!)
The V is not tippy at all, super stable. The tranny dose not really slow you down good if you are used to a gear quad or bike. No big deal, you have a brake on each bar side and one for your foot. The front works super the back works so, so.

As far as snow goes that really depends. I had a bad experiance with snow on my V. DON"T get this thing in wet snow!!!! Once it's stuck it's STUCK!!!! I've seen people on this board just float on 5' of hard packed snow. Looks like a lot of fun. I was stuck in a foot of wet snow untill some guy on a Honda bike help me lift 500lbs of quad out of the snow. NOT FUN AT ALL!!!

All of the bad things can be fixed very cheaply except for the ride stiffness. The tie-rods can be fixed for a buck or two by sleaving the rods. No big deal at all.
I don't know what else to tell you except I have the day off and I'm going ridding!!!!!!!!!!
