stillahondafan, from one canuck to another,if you can wait,VDI are coming out with a really good "cdi" plug and play module in June that will cost only (now $350CAD) (was$250 CAD).It will be an owsome addition. You have an 02 p650 and it only has a two plug cdi and i know that VDI will have an adapter for there unit.
I would put a black secondary spring in and there are so many options for primary spring you should let us know on what type of riding you enjoy cuz springs will differ from style of riding. The maroon(EPI) really woke up my 650.The rev's increased about 500rpm's all the way through. The stall was a little higher than stock and it took a little to get used to.The new found power was definately better.BTW a stock BF750 primary spring is(0/155) which is a cheap way to change your primary spring ($17 CAD ) similar to a Dalton blue.
Have you done anything with your belt? Upgrading to a 700 belt at the same time is good idea.M\M.

Dyna says you should evaluate your jetting based on indiviual conditions (elevation, temp) I live in New Hampshire and generally ride low altitude, I also have some intake mods (filter, intake tube) so I jetted up one size and it ran a little rich so I don't think rejetting was required with my Dyna CDI.
You should consider shimming your carb needles, mine had a little hesitation to it so I added the shims and it runs perfect now, its realy easy to change them, and there is tons of info on this site, just search shims or shimming.
To tell you the truth if I had not have gone onto this web site I probably would never have noticed anything wrong with my Prairie, I just love to improve things.

i also like the sounds of the dg3 and the holeshot module...love to have a lil more grunt at low end...they seem easy to install..once install theres no other adjustment to the bike is there?which is better?

The Holeshot was the original Module from DG, then the DG3, and now the DG5 is the latest improvrement to the module. All are modules and offer no power increase after 6500 RPM. All power is before. I had the original Holeshot and it gave full power below 10MPH. Dont know if the DG3 or DG5 gives full power ( timing) above 10MPH or 6500RPM

Does the high lifter or DG give to a big difference in take off power? Not with these or any module are hurting anything on the engine but makingit do what it does? Also about a K&N Air filter. People here say that K&N lets too much dirt/dust into the intake. Is that true and what other options are good for air filters? Also if you put on elka springs, are you gonna bottom out more than stock if you jump little jumps?

Modules give full timing below 10MPH to 6500 RPM. So, with a module installed your stock engine timing is not retarded and can make available HP to 6500RPM when the stock CDI will again retard timing. The Dynatec CDI gives you full power from idle to 9200RPM & does not have a reverse override.
Elkas will help a lot in conering & stability and soak up bumps that will bottom out the stock springs. All springs will bottom out if you Hit the ground harder than they were designed.
I'm running the 02 Airbox and I ran a bead of silicon sealant around circumference of K & N filter & my airbox under filter is squeaky clean. The 03 Airbox is suppose to be a better design. Alot of other members run the twin air filter.
