Default bf 750 belt light

I have 1,000 miles on my 05 bf and the belt light just came on . How do I get it to turn off and how do I check the adjustment on the belt. I plan on riding tomorrow and need any help I can get so I do not miss this ride. Any help or direction would be greatly helpful . thanks

Suggest reading your owners manual. If the BF is anything like the P650, you are probaly going to have to adjust the belt tension or replace the belt to get the light to go out. Good Luck

Be very careful with the belt light issue. We have had several of our BF's with light issues. Once the light comes on it only allowed the quad to excel to a speed of 8-10 mph. Not something you want to happen when you are 6 hours away from civilization. We ended up climbing a hill to get a phone signal and calling my buddy's dealership where the told us how to re-set the belt light. There is also a thread on this site that will walk you through the process. I printed this out and keep it on my bike just in case. But you want to check the belt as if that breaks or slips from not being adjusted then you are in deep crap. Belt can be adjusted while on the trail if you have the correct tools. Hope this helps!!! Ride Safe and Ride Hard but Just RIDE!!!!
